We start with the bigger picture because the event isn’t the point. The mission is.
“How does this event tie to your broader organizational goals?”
This is one of the questions we ask our clients as we launch the planning for their events.
Asking this question gives us an expansive view into their world. The legislation they’re passing. The communities they’re serving. The millions they need to raise to fuel growth.
All in the name of:
• advocating for criminal justice reform
• transforming school food systems
• unlocking opportunities for youth
• expanding access to affordable homeownership
• shaping climate and energy policy
And so much more!
Does that fire you up like it fires me up?! How inspiring is that?!
We start with the bigger picture because the event isn’t the point. The mission is.
And when you design a gathering in service of that mission - everything changes. How we think about the messaging, what will happen experientially, how to build the arc of the event, who to involve.
Our team at Gather Co becomes, not just invested in producing a knockout event, but invested in propelling our client toward their goals with the event.
This question grounds both our team and our clients in the greater purpose of hosting the event. What it will do to excite, educate, and activate their community, grow their community, and create a pathway to raise more money.
THAT is why organizations host events. As a lever to serve their mission, to grow their community and impact.
Particularly in a time that feels very hard for so many across the globe, having the opportunity to partner with our clients in service of their mission is something my team and I are enormously grateful for.
I'm super pumped to talk about the WHY this week. More to come!
✨ Planning a gathering - or looking to make your next event more intentional? We’d love to help you bring it to life. Let's talk.
All the best,
