I'm someone who is buoyed by coming together with people to connect, to build community - and events are a powerful way to do that. Celebrating Youth ALIVE!, Oakland's community-based violence prevention, intervention, and healing agency, at their annual breakfast. Youth ALIVE! does amazing work to truly make our community brighter. ☀️

Reconnecting with my Education Pioneers alumni network - a community full of impressive leaders driving systems-level change in public education. 🌿

To be amongst any of these groups is to be filled with hope—extraordinary, talented, committed people are working tirelessly to create a more equitable and bright future for all of us. I'm deeply grateful to be part of these communities.
